Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for progressive coronary patients
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status including cardiac telemetry and vitals
- Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with hospital policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery plans
- Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
- Support unit goals for quality, safety, and patient satisfaction through active participation
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Georgia
- Experience or interest in progressive care / intermediate coronary care settings
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and telemetry monitoring skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; compassionate patient focus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient safety
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring know-how
- Medication administration and IV therapy skills
- Clinical assessment, documentation, and critical thinking
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Patient and family education techniques
- Infection control and safety best practices
