Location: Omaha, NE

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, includes every other weekend and every third holiday.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced PCU setting
Monitor and manage cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetic patients, including continuous EEG monitoring
Titrate and manage critical drips such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to respond to changing patient conditions
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum of 1 year PCU experience preferred
Valid driver's license to verify 50-mile radius compliance
Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a team

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and drip titration
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
