Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, with on-call requirement

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced OR department
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment with precision
Monitor patient vitals and responses during surgery
Maintain sterile field and strict infection control protocols
Document all nursing interventions and patient responses accurately in EPIC
Participate in on-call rotation (one night every two weeks, one weekend every six weeks)

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in a busy OR department
Must have EPIC experience
Active RN license (Nursys verification required)
BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS, and DCI/BVP certifications required
Willingness to take on-call shifts as scheduled

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of surgical aseptic technique
Proficiency in EPIC documentation systems
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
