Location: Bismarck, ND

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 0600-1830 and 1800-0630, every third weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide respiratory care to a diverse patient population from neonates to geriatrics across all hospital units
Manage ventilators including PB 840, PB 980, Hamilton C1, and high-flow oxygen devices
Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to deliver optimal patient outcomes
Work independently in critical care areas including NICU, ICU, and Level II trauma
Assess and implement respiratory treatments for surgical, medical, and cardiac patients
Participate in code blue and emergency response teams

Qualifications

Must hold an active ND state license as a Respiratory Therapist
RRT or CRT credential required
Minimum 2 years of NICU experience is mandatory
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Ability to work independently and make clinical judgments
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with ventilators: PB 840, PB 980, Hamilton C1, MR1
Experience with Airvo high-flow therapy and V-60 Respironics
Knowledge of neonatal and adult respiratory care protocols
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
