Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Days, 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate residents and develop personalized therapy plans for communication and swallowing disorders
Provide skilled speech therapy including modified barium swallow studies
Collaborate with physicians and care teams to optimize resident outcomes
Document all evaluations and treatments accurately and timely
Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and assistive devices
Maintain clinical excellence and stay current with professional standards

Qualifications

Active Speech Language Pathologist license in Massachusetts
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
BLS/BCLS certification (preferred or obtain on assignment)
Minimum 3 years of experience in SLP
Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred

Education

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in dysphagia and communication disorders
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and documentation systems
Team-oriented with a resident-centered care approach
Time management and analytical decision-making skills
