Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and PCU patients, including chemotherapy administration
Monitor and manage complex patient conditions, including hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator support
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery
Float to Med Surg and PCU units as needed, maintaining high standards of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Oncology experience
Chemotherapy certification (CHEMO CERT REQUIRED)
BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
First-time travelers welcome
Driver's license required (must live 50+ miles from facility)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records
Experience with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem
