Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, Day (6:30 AM-7:00 PM) and Night (6:30 PM-7:00 AM), includes weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced PCU unit
Manage high-acuity patients with cardiac, stroke, and medical-surgical conditions
Titrate critical drips including heparin, insulin, and octreotide
Collaborate with a dynamic team to handle frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges
Read and interpret telemetry to ensure timely interventions
Float to Med/Surg, ICU, or ED as needed for appropriate patient care

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
At least 1 year of PCU experience preferred
Must pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation
Driver's license required for verification of residency outside 50-mile radius
No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in titrating IV drips (heparin, insulin, etc.)
Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Strong teamwork and communication in a high-flow unit
Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions
Experience with LUCAS machines, hoyer lifts, and sit-stand devices
