Location: Omaha, NE

Start Date: 08-03-2026

End Date: 11-02-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Varied 12-hour shifts including days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) and nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM); every other weekend required.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a mixed PCU/MedSurg unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for adverse reactions
Titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem as needed
Collaborate with charge nurses, PT/OT, case managers, and social workers to ensure holistic care
Float to other MedSurg and PCU units as needed to support the team
Engage in hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Valid driver's license and ability to meet 50-mile radius rule (no current affiliation with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity)
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and oncology nursing experience
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Chemotherapy certification preferred (ONS/ONCC)
BLS and ACLS certifications required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in EPIC charting system
Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000) - training available
Strong IV therapy and chemotherapy administration skills
Ability to titrate common drips (heparin, cardizem, protonix)
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Adaptability to work in a diverse cultural environment
