Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to oncology and trauma patients in a mixed PCU/MedSurg unit
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor IV drips, including heparin and cardizem
• Collaborate with charge nurses, therapists, and social workers to ensure holistic patient care
• Titrate drips like cardizem and insulin as needed under protocols
• Float to other PCU and MedSurg units to support the team
• Champion patient safety and experience through hourly rounding and compassionate communication

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or MedSurg experience, with oncology experience strongly preferred
• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
• Chemotherapy certification required (must provide at submittal)
• First-time travelers welcome - bring your passion and we'll guide the rest!
• Comfortable with EPIC, Alaris pumps, and hemodynamic monitoring (training available)

Knowledge & Skills

• Oncology and PCU nursing skills including chemotherapy administration
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps
• Experience with ventilator settings and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz)
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities
• Ability to titrate drips such as cardizem and insulin
• Cultural sensitivity to care for diverse patient populations
