Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology, PCU, and med/surg patients in a mixed unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients on drips like heparin, cardizem, and protonix
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Titrate drips (insulin, cardizem) and manage hemodynamic monitoring equipment
Float to other med/surg or PCU units as needed, maintaining the same level of care
Participate in hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Be the nurse you'd want to work with — bring positivity and teamwork every shift

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent PCU and oncology nursing experience
Chemotherapy certification preferred (ONS/ONCC)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Valid driver's license (used for radius verification)
First-time travelers welcome — we'll guide you through!

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
Experience with Alaris IV pumps
Comfort with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (can train on the job)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to a diverse patient population with respect and empathy
