Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients during overnight shifts
• Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, and intervene promptly as needed
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policy
• Educate patients and families in a clear, respectful manner to support recovery and discharge planning
• Actively participate in shift handoffs to maintain safe, uninterrupted care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California (or compact/state eligibility as required)
• Previous acute care or relevant clinical experience preferred
• Current BLS required; ACLS and other specialty certifications preferred when applicable
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required facility onboarding
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Comfort working overnight shifts and managing a varied patient acuity

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment skills and the ability to prioritize effectively during busy shifts
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely documentation
• Comfort collaborating with physicians, therapists, and support staff
• Crisis management skills and calm decision-making under pressure
• Patient- and family-centered approach to care
