Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the overnight period
Perform thorough assessments and communicate findings clearly to the care team
Administer medications and treatments safely and document all interventions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
Respond promptly to patient needs and urgent situations with sound clinical judgment
Maintain accurate electronic charting and handoffs on shift changes
Support a positive patient experience through clear communication and empathy

Qualifications

Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Current immunizations and ability to meet facility credentialing requirements
Prior acute care or med-surg experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; reliable and professional

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and clinical decision making during overnight shifts
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced setting
Effective teamwork and clear shift-to-shift handoff skills
