Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care across the assigned unit
• Perform thorough assessments and develop prioritized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document patient status and interventions clearly in the chart
• Advocate for patients and families, ensuring dignity and respect
• Respond to changes in patient condition with timely interventions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California or eligibility to obtain one
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications preferred
• Prior clinical nursing experience preferred; per diem experience a plus
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced setting
• Able to provide flexible per diem coverage, including occasional weekends or holidays

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program and successful NCLEX-RN

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Able to prioritize tasks and manage time under pressure
• Teamwork and effective communication with patients, families, and staff
