Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered medical-surgical nursing care to adults and older adults
• Assess patients, monitor clinical status, and document changes accurately in the medical record
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following policies and best practices
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other procedures as appropriate for the unit
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations to ensure safety and positive outcomes
• Maintain infection control standards and contribute to a clean, safe patient environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Hampshire or eligibility for licensure (compact license accepted if applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACLS and other specialty certifications preferred or available through employer support
• Previous medical-surgical experience is preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills will be considered
• Current immunizations and ability to pass required background and health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medical-surgical nursing knowledge and clinical assessment skills
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Comfortable with electronic medical record documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and function well under pressure
• Commitment to patient safety and quality improvement
