Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for Med/Surg patients
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor patient status and escalate changes to the care team promptly
- Document patient care and clinical observations clearly in the medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to optimize outcomes
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Hawaii
- Current BLS certification; specialty certifications encouraged
- Previous Med/Surg experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to pass facility onboarding and any required screenings
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of Med/Surg nursing principles and procedures
- Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
- Comfortable with patient assessment and care planning
- Clear communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
