Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts (Med/Surg); specific start/end times and scheduled days to be confirmed with the facility. Start date: April 13, 2026.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patient needs and provide high-quality Med/Surg nursing care
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor and document patient status, recognizing changes and escalating when needed
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
Contribute to a positive unit culture through teamwork, mentorship, and professional behavior

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia (or Compact RN as applicable)
Previous Med/Surg nursing experience (experience on 12+ hour shifts is a plus)
Current BLS certification required; ACLS or other certifications encouraged based on unit needs
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and bedside skills
Ability to work 12.5-hour shift blocks and adapt to unit staffing needs

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration, and patient monitoring
Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
Ability to prioritize and remain calm in fast-paced clinical situations
