Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert care to mothers and babies throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
• Independently attend deliveries and circulate during C-sections with confidence and skill
• Assist with catching babies and transitioning newborns to ensure safe, healthy starts
• Titrate critical drips including Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin to support optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with in-house OB/GYNs, Neonatologists, and Anesthesia providers for seamless care
• Support high-risk pregnancies including preeclampsia, diabetes, and substance use cases
• Float within the Birthing Center to Mother Baby and Postpartum units as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington or compact license
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Intermediate or advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring preferred
• Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience (1 year considered with multiple prior travel assignments)
• Comfortable attending deliveries independently and circulating C-sections
• No first-time travelers accepted

Knowledge & Skills

• LDRP nursing expertise with ability to manage high-risk obstetric patients
• Strong fetal monitoring interpretation skills
• Experience with AWHONN staffing guidelines and couplet care
• Ability to transition newborns and provide routine postpartum support
• Comfort working with Centricity perinatal EFM system
• Excellent communication and adaptability to unit workflows
