Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM with 30 min unpaid lunch, self-scheduling with manager balancing, 2 weekends per 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population including COVID, respiratory, GI, diabetic, and post-surgical patients
Interpret telemetry strips and document findings each shift to ensure patient safety
Collaborate with remote monitor techs and the interdisciplinary team for seamless care delivery
Manage patients requiring BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed, expanding your clinical versatility
Deliver excellent nursing care while maintaining a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Background with general, orthopedic, and spinal surgical patients preferred
Familiarity with CVA and TIA patient care
Cerner experience recommended

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry strip interpretation and documentation
MedSurg and Telemetry nursing fundamentals
Patient assessment and care planning
Collaboration with remote monitoring teams
Equipment management including BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow systems
