Location: Redwood City, California

Start Date: 06-08-2026

End Date: 09-07-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with varied start times including 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, or 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM; may require a Saturday or Sunday depending on weekend needs, with a day off during the week when working weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care across acute care units including ICU, MedSurg, Oncology, and Cardiology
Deliver specialized treatment for ventilated patients and post-surgical ortho cases
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery and mobility
Evaluate and treat a diverse patient population with varying diagnoses and needs
Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR system
Support patients through their entire hospital stay from admission to discharge planning

Qualifications

Current Physical Therapy license in California
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience
Experience with ortho, total joints, ICU, and ventilated patients preferred
Cerner EMR experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in acute care physical therapy across multiple specialties
Ability to work independently with diverse patient populations
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Comfortable treating ventilated patients in ICU settings
Knowledge of post-surgical protocols for total joint replacements
Adaptable to varying shift times and occasional weekend coverage
