Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, including every third weekend and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns, including high-risk OB
Circulate in the OR for C-sections and assist with surgical procedures
Perform routine newborn assessments and ensure proper baby care
Titrate IV drips such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate as needed
Float to postpartum unit to care for both mom and baby
Collaborate with a dynamic team of OBTs, CRNAs, and physicians

Qualifications

Current BLS and NRP certifications
Minimum 1-2 years of L&D nursing experience preferred
Ability to circulate in the OR
Valid driver's license and ability to meet 50-mile radius rule
Willingness to adhere to facility policy – no artificial nails in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EFM (Obix system) monitoring
Competency in newborn assessments and routine baby care
Experience with titrating drips (Pitocin, Magnesium, pain medications)
Strong teamwork, communication, and flexibility
Ability to float to postpartum and sitter roles as needed
