Location: Pendleton, OR

Start Date: 07-06-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $73 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, including monitoring fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs
Manage the labor and delivery process, including induction, augmentation, and emergency interventions
Provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns, including breastfeeding support and patient education
Care for routine and intermediate nursery patients, including assessment and stabilization
Titrate intravenous medications such as Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate as ordered
Act as charge nurse and coordinate unit activities, ensuring safe staffing and patient flow

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon or ability to obtain Oregon 90-day Emergency License
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
Strong skills in L&D, postpartum, and nursery care
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of labor and delivery nursing
Proficiency in fetal monitoring and interpretation
Experience with postpartum and nursery care
Skill in titrating high-risk medications including Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and insulin
Familiarity with electronic fetal monitoring systems (GE Centricity Perinatal)
Ability to stabilize and prepare newborns for transport including CPAP and ventilator support
