Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients in the ICU, responding quickly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and advanced therapies safely and accurately
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators, infusion pumps, and other critical-care equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the care team to implement patient-centered plans
• Document clinical findings and interventions clearly in the patient record
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families during high-stress moments

Qualifications

• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Prior ICU experience preferred; comfort with ventilatory support, vasoactive drips, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently on night shifts and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and patient stabilization
• Mechanical ventilation basics and ventilator management
• IV medication administration and titration (including vasoactive agents)
• Familiarity with electronic health records and clear clinical documentation
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Effective interdisciplinary teamwork and bedside communication
