Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor and assess patient condition, interpreting vital signs and lab data to inform care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate/monitor ventilators and other critical care equipment
• Educate patients and families about care plans, procedures, and recovery expectations
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and changes in patient status

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or eligible to obtain licensure
• Current BLS certification; ACLS strongly preferred or required per facility policy
• Previous ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Strong assessment, clinical decision-making, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work night and weekend shifts as needed for per-diem coverage
• Current Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications as required

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and titration of drips
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems for charting and orders
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-pressure environments
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple critically ill patients
• Infection control, safety protocols, and patient advocacy
