Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, specific start/end times vary (day and night rotations)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
Monitor and interpret complex patient data and implement appropriate interventions
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members
Administer medications and advanced therapies safely and accurately
Serve as a patient and family educator and advocate during challenging times
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Document care thoroughly and communicate clear handoffs at shift change

Qualifications

Active RN license in Louisiana (or compact RN eligible)
Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Clinical experience in an ICU or critical care setting
Comfort with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive drips
Strong critical thinking, assessment, and triage skills
Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends as needed

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of critical care protocols and evidence-based practices
Skilled in cardiac monitoring and interpretation
Proficient in IV medication administration and titration
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity settings
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
