Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts; specific start and end times vary between day and night coverage (12-hour blocks)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate ICU nursing care to critically ill patients
Assess, monitor, and document patient condition and intervene as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Respond to rapid changes in patient status with clinical confidence and clear communication
Educate patients and families with empathy and clarity during stressful moments

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for Louisiana or eligibility to obtain one
Critical care experience or demonstrated competence in an ICU environment
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Valid certifications and credentials maintained and up to date

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in ICU monitoring, ventilator care, and hemodynamic support
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced critical care setting
Effective verbal and written communication with patients, families, and staff
Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
Calm under pressure with solid clinical judgment
