Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care to adult ICU patients
• Continuously monitor and assess patient condition and intervene as needed
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform necessary procedures safely
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to create and execute care plans
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in code and rapid response situations
• Mentor and support colleagues to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain one promptly
• Previous ICU nursing experience preferred; strong critical care background welcomed
• BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or required depending on unit policy
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented ICU environment
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and hemodynamic monitoring
• Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced airway care
• Competence with infusion pumps, titratable drips, and vasoactive medications
• Proficient clinical documentation and electronic medical record use
• Strong clinical judgment, prioritization, and emergency response skills
