Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM / 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to ICU patients including trauma, cardiac, and post-surgical cases
Manage ventilators, titrate drips (cardiac, insulin, sedation), and interpret telemetry strips
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
Float to PCU and occasionally MedSurg as needed, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios
Participate in orientation and pass open-book exam on skills within first week
Ensure compliance with fingernail policy and other facility guidelines

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of submission
Valid driver's license (to verify 50-mile radius rule)
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred
Ability to titrate drips and manage ventilators
Must pass a pass/fail open-book exam during orientation (90% required)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in ICU nursing including trauma, cardiac, and stroke care
Proficient in ventilator management and titrating cardiac and sedation drips
Skilled in telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-acuity environment
