Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients
• Perform timely assessments, monitor patient status, and implement interventions
• Manage ventilators, titrate IV medications, and respond to emergencies
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to optimize care
• Document patient care accurately and communicate changes clearly during handoffs
• Educate patients and families, offering support and clear explanations when it matters most
• Contribute to unit safety and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure or ability to obtain RN licensure in Hawaii
• Previous ICU experience preferred; strong critical care background a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Current immunizations and ability to pass facility onboarding requirements
• Professional attitude, strong teamwork, and effective communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of critical care principles and ICU protocols
• Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Skilled in IV medication administration, titration, and drip management
• Comfortable using electronic health records for documentation and orders
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and act decisively in fast-paced situations
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and staff
