Registered Nurse - ICU Float Pool
Location: Centennial, Colorado
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedule made 6 weeks in advance
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert critical care across multiple ICU specialties including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU
- Titrate life-saving medications including pressors, sedation, paralytics, and antiarrhythmics with precision
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms while delivering hands-on patient care
- Collaborate with respiratory therapists to manage ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy
- Float throughout Zone 1 facilities to support patients across varying acuity levels
- Mentor and support newer nurses while maintaining the highest standards of ICU nursing
Qualifications
- Active Colorado or compact nursing license
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Epic experience preferred for first-time travelers
- Comfortable floating within a 60-mile radius and across multiple ICU units
Knowledge & Skills
- Expert titration of critical drips including pressors, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
- Strong cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills
- Experience with CRRT, IABP, and Impella devices
- Ability to adapt quickly across different ICU environments and patient populations
- Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
