Registered Nurse - ICU Float Pool
Location: Centennial, Colorado
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU
- Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin with confidence
- Manage ventilators and assist with respiratory needs alongside respiratory therapy
- Interpret telemetry and respond to changing patient conditions with precision
- Float throughout the 60-mile zone to support facilities as needed while delivering consistent, high-quality care
- Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Colorado or compact RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; 3+ years preferred for first-time travelers
- Epic experience strongly preferred for first-time travelers
- Comfortable with drip titration and ventilator management
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making in high-acuity settings
- Telemetry interpretation and ventilator troubleshooting
- Flexibility to float across ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and Med-Surg Tele units
- Excellent communication and adaptability in a float pool environment
