Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends, schedule released 6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients in a multi-site float pool across Zone 3
Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, insulin
Monitor and interpret telemetry without monitor tech support
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to manage ventilator, BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow oxygen therapy
Float to PCU, stepdown, and med-surg units as needed
Adapt quickly to different facilities and unit cultures

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (3 years for first-time travelers)
Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Epic experience preferred
Comfortable titrating all critical drips
Ability to float within a 60-mile zone encompassing multiple hospitals

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care nursing skills
Telemetry interpretation
Ventilator management
Familiarity with CRRT, IABP, Impella
Strong adaptability and flexibility
Excellent communication skills
