Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Flexible scheduling: 5x8-hour shifts or 4x10-hour shifts, with weekly weeknight call and weekend call approximately every 3 weekends. Details to be discussed in interview.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist with advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS, EMR/ESD, Enteroscopy, and Endolumenal Surgery
Manage specialized imaging catheters, sphincterotomy wires, and stents during ERCP to treat bile and pancreatic duct issues
Operate and troubleshoot the ultrasound processor for EUS and assist with Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) tools
Set up advanced electrocautery, injection needles, and snares for EMR/ESD to remove complex polyps or early-stage lesions
Handle balloon catheters and specialized equipment for enteroscopy to visualize and treat the small bowel
Assist with endoscopic suturing, stent deployment, and Endoflip device setup for endolumenal surgery
Perform high-level disinfection and reprocessing of complex scopes in accordance with SGNA and manufacturer standards

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska required
Strong circulating and assisting skills for advanced endoscopy procedures such as EUS, ERCP, etc.
Ability to pass an open-book exam on specialized skills with a 90% score during orientation
Experience in ERCP, EUS, EMR/ESD, Enteroscopy, or endolumenal surgery preferred
Commitment to following artificial nail policy for patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

ERCP, EUS, EMR/ESD, Enteroscopy, and Endolumenal Surgery techniques
High-level disinfection and reprocessing standards (SGNA and manufacturer)
Endoscopic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) and tissue biopsy procedures
Endoscopic suturing, stent deployment, and Endoflip device operation
