Location: Lufkin, Texas

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable 12-hour shifts (day/night) with self-scheduling available: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM; every other weekend and holiday required.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department
Manage a diverse patient population including trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac cases
Monitor telemetry and interpret ECG rhythms to detect changes in patient condition
Collaborate closely with physicians, mid-level providers, and the multidisciplinary team
Administer medications, perform interventions, and triage patients efficiently
Maintain a calm and focused demeanor during critical situations

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
Active and unrestricted RN license in Texas or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA preferred)
TNCC and either PALS or ENTC certification required
Ability to read and interpret ECG rhythms independently

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in ER nursing, including trauma and cardiac care
Strong ECG rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills
Proficient with Paragon EMR and standard ER equipment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Capable of managing multiple priorities in a high-stress environment
