Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday, schedule set by leadership based on department needs

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across multiple ER locations within Zone 4
Float among Garden City, Dodge City, and Ulysses facilities to ensure adequate staffing
Perform triage, assessments, and interventions for a variety of acute conditions including trauma, stroke, and cardiac events
Administer medications, start IVs, and manage common ER drips
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
Interpret telemetry strips and perform point-of-care lab testing

Qualifications

Current RN license in Kansas or compact state
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
Willingness to float within a 60-mile radius zone

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced ER environment
Ability to interpret telemetry and recognize cardiac rhythms
Proficient in point-of-care testing and emergency procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Flexibility to adapt to different facility protocols and patient populations
