Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ED
Rapidly assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with emergent conditions
Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and according to protocol
Document assessments and interventions accurately in the patient record
Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to coordinate care
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans
Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to enhance ED outcomes

Qualifications

Current, active RN license (able to practice in Hawaii or eligible for state licensure)
Experience or interest in Emergency Department nursing (ED/ER) preferred
Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-acuity, team-based environments
Strong clinical assessment, IV, and medication administration skills

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation
IV therapy, medication administration, and cardiac monitoring
Calm, clear communication under pressure with patients and team members
Ability to prioritize multiple urgent tasks and make quick clinical decisions
