Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Deliver direct patient care including medication administration, IV therapy and wound management
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and support staff to coordinate timely treatment plans
• Monitor patient status closely and escalate changes to the care team promptly
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses clearly in the medical record
• Provide patient and family education with compassion and clear communication
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to enhance ED outcomes

Qualifications

• Current RN license (active or eligible) — Hawaii licensure is preferred or required depending on hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required or obtained shortly after hire
• Emergency nursing experience preferred; new grads with strong ED training are welcome to apply
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments with sound judgment and teamwork

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• Proficiency with IV insertion, medication administration and critical care interventions
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary settings
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and maintain composure under pressure
