Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in the ED/ER—assess, triage, and manage patients with efficiency and compassion
Perform timely clinical interventions, administer medications, and coordinate with the care team to support positive outcomes
Communicate clearly with patients and families, explaining care plans and next steps
Document accurately and thoroughly in the medical record to ensure continuity of care
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to maintain a safe, organized emergency department

Qualifications

Current RN license (must be licensed in New Hampshire or eligible for licensure)
Valid BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred or available through employer
Experience or interest in Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and triage skills
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and participate in orientation

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency assessment and triage principles
IV therapy, medication administration, and basic procedural support
Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
Basic electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
Patient-centered care with attention to safety and infection control
