Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered emergency care in the ED/ER setting
Perform rapid assessments and triage to prioritize care for critical patients
Administer treatments and medications per protocol and physician orders
Collaborate with physicians, techs and support staff to coordinate efficient patient flow
Monitor and document patient status, responding quickly to changes
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and follow-up care

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (current and in good standing)
Experience or interest in Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - BSN preferred where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and rapid assessment in acute care settings
IV insertion, medication administration and emergency interventions
Familiarity with ED workflows and patient flow management
Clear, compassionate patient and family communication
Basic electronic health record (EHR) documentation skills
