Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to rehabilitation patients during the night shift
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per policy
• Support patient mobility and rehab goals with evidence-based nursing interventions
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the electronic medical record
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed during your shift
• Respond to emergencies and escalate concerns appropriately to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license for New Mexico (or compact license where applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus
• Previous experience in acute care, rehab, or telemetry preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently on night shifts and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team
• Clean background check and current health screenings as required by facility

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals and rehabilitation nursing principles
• Comfortable with medication calculation and safe administration practices
• Proficient in electronic medical record documentation and handoff communication
• Skilled in patient assessment, wound care basics, and mobility assistance
• Strong prioritization and time-management skills during overnight coverage
