Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiographic exams with precision and care
Position patients and operate imaging equipment safely and effectively
Ensure patient safety and radiation protection practices are followed at all times
Produce high-quality images and verify image accuracy for timely diagnosis
Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation in the record system
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the care team to support patient flow
Participate in basic equipment quality control and report issues promptly
Provide compassionate patient education and reassurance throughout the imaging process

Qualifications

ARRT certification (or ARRT-eligible) preferred
State radiologic technologist license (Louisiana) required or eligible
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtain upon hire
Clinical experience in hospital or outpatient radiology settings preferred
Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills

Education

Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited radiography program
ARRT certification strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of radiographic positioning and cross-sectional anatomy
Familiarity with PACS and radiology information systems (RIS)
Understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
Ability to follow protocols and produce consistent, diagnostic images
Good interpersonal skills for working with patients of all ages and clinical teams
