Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiologic examinations with accuracy and compassion
Operate imaging equipment safely, following radiation safety protocols
Position patients and prepare them for imaging while ensuring comfort and dignity
Review images for quality and completeness and communicate findings to the care team
Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to facility policies and documentation standards
Collaborate with technologists, nurses, and clinicians to support excellent patient care

Qualifications

Active ARRT certification or equivalent radiologic technologist credential preferred
State Radiologic Technologist license for Louisiana or eligibility to obtain one
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
Experience operating digital radiography systems and PACS preferred
Strong patient care orientation, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail

Education

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associate degree or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
Familiarity with PACS, EHR systems, and image archiving workflows
Solid understanding of radiation safety and infection control practices
Good communication skills for interacting with patients and clinical teams
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
