Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based mental health assessments and individual therapy to patients in a correctional setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support recovery and behavioral health goals
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure continuity
• Document clinical encounters clearly and timely in the required systems
• Deliver crisis intervention and risk assessment when urgent needs arise
• Participate in training and clinical meetings to maintain best practices and compliance

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychologist or equivalent clinical license (candidates with LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT credentials are encouraged)
• Experience or willingness to work in a correctional/forensic mental health environment
• Active license to practice in California or ability to obtain state authorization
• Clear background check and ability to meet facility security requirements
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and crisis intervention skills
• Comfort working as part of a multidisciplinary team and providing registry coverage

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical knowledge of evidence-based therapies and mental health assessment
• Experience with treatment planning and progress documentation
• Ability to manage high-acuity and complex behavioral health presentations
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Familiarity with correctional healthcare workflows and safety protocols
• Time management and caseload prioritization in a fast-paced environment
