Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ functional mobility and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver compassionate therapeutic interventions to restore movement and independence
• Document progress clearly and timely in the patient record
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on exercises, fall prevention, and safe mobility
• Monitor outcomes and adjust treatment plans to maximize patient progress
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, patient-centered culture

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist or eligible for licensure in Massachusetts
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Clinical experience in orthopedic or geriatric/rehabilitation settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role and follow facility compliance requirements

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred, or Master's degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and balance interventions
• Knowledgeable in patient assessment, documentation best practices, and outcome measures
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and completing timely documentation
• Strong patient education and family coaching abilities
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and deliver efficient, high-quality care
