Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans to help patients regain mobility and independence
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities with encouragement and expertise
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety techniques
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and responses
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in New Hampshire (or compact eligible)
• Graduate from an accredited PTA program
• CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
• Comfortable working in a skilled nursing or rehab setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand, bend, and assist patients with mobility throughout the shift

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of therapeutic exercises and modalities
• Understanding of patient safety and proper body mechanics
• Proficient in documenting in electronic medical records
• Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with patients and families
• Adaptability to work with diverse patient populations
• Time management to handle a caseload efficiently
