Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 4x10-hour shifts, Days, Every other weekend, first to float

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert post-anesthesia care for adult and pediatric patients recovering from surgery
Manage ICU overflow patients including those on pressors, sedation, and ventilators
Collaborate with a dedicated team in a fast-paced PACU setting
Monitor vital signs, assess pain levels, and ensure safe recovery from anesthesia
Document patient progress using Cerner EMR system

Qualifications

2+ years of combined PACU and ICU experience
No first-time travelers - this is for seasoned pros
Must have experience with pediatric patients in a PACU or ICU setting
Active California RN license required
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA) required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Comfortable managing pressors, sedation, and ventilated patients
Ability to handle a variety of cases: general, ortho, neuro, vascular, burn, GYN, ICU
