Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Nights, 12-hour shifts; 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period; holidays based on unit coverage

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care for trauma, orthopedic, and surgical patients on a 30-bed unit
Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias for patients with cardiac conditions
Perform central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion while maintaining sterile field
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including SWAT RNs and respiratory therapists
Float to MS/Tele or other campuses as needed
Manage post-operative care for transplant, whipple, spine, and joint replacement patients
Participate in on-unit orientation and pass SIMs lab skills on day one

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of RN experience with Level 1 trauma experience required
Valid BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
Must pass dysrhythmia exam (2 attempts allowed)
Clean driver's license and own vehicle required
Natural hair color, no facial piercings; men must be clean-shaven for fit test
Telemetry experience of at least 2 years

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR
Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control
Experience with Phillips telemetry systems
Knowledge of ventilator support (Bipap, CPAP)
Ability to handle high-acuity trauma and surgical patients
IV therapy and central line management skills
