Location: Northridge, California

Start Date: 08-04-2026

End Date: 11-03-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Days, staggered start times between 5:00 AM - 12:00 PM, 8 or 10 hour shifts; call on Saturdays about every 7-8 weeks

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $68 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Admit and prepare patients for surgery, ensuring they are ready and informed
Start IVs, obtain consents, and document thorough physical assessments
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips for up to 4 patients
Pre-op prep including medication administration and site preparation
Provide post-operative care and observation for recovery patients
Manage transradial bands and respond to hematomas for cath lab patients

Qualifications

Active RN license with 2+ years of Med Surg/Tele experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
Experience in preop and post-op care is a plus
Pediatric experience preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle rapid turnovers

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner Surginet EMR
Strong understanding of telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Knowledge of transradial band management and cath lab observation
Ability to work collaboratively with anesthesiologists and intensivists
Excellent communication and patient education skills
