Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to MedSurg/Tele patients including those with neurological deficits, strokes, and post-neurosurgical recovery
Titrate drips such as Heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine as needed
Perform hourly rounding and ensure patient responsiveness and safety
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to manage multiple admissions and discharges daily
Float to other medical surgical areas as needed
Utilize EPIC charting system efficiently

Qualifications

2+ years of recent MedSurg/Tele experience required
BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
Travel experience strongly preferred but open to strong candidates without it
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact license
Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring awareness and strip interpretation
Proficient with EPIC charting system
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to manage a fast-paced unit with high patient turnover
Team player with a patient-first mindset
Cultural sensitivity to serve diverse patient populations
