Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in PCU/IMC float pool across multiple specialty units
• Manage and titrate cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, and heparin with confidence
• Monitor patients with diverse diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, oncology, and post-surgical conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float as needed to other units within the 60-mile zone, including ICU for low-acuity holds, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of PCU/IMC experience
• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state (must be submitted prior to start)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA preferred)
• Experience with cardiac drips, insulin, and ativan management
• Comfortable titrating drips and managing high-acuity patients

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in cardiac drips titration and management
• Strong understanding of insulin and ativan protocols
• EPIC charting system experience preferred
• Neuro experience a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced, diverse patient populations
