Location: Lakewood, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Nights, 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM, includes weekends and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform and analyze laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, coagulation, and blood bank
Ensure accurate and timely test results using state-of-the-art equipment like Abbott Alinity and Sysmex analyzers
Maintain quality control and adhere to lab protocols
Collaborate with healthcare team to provide optimal patient care
Utilize EPIC Beaker for electronic health records and test ordering

Qualifications

Valid BLS certification (AHA) required
Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through ASCP or AMT
Minimum 2 years of experience as a generalist in a clinical lab
Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC Beaker LIS
Experience with Abbott Alinity, Immucor ECHO, Sysmex XN3100, CA5100, CA2500 analyzers
Strong knowledge of hematology, chemistry, coagulation, and blood bank procedures
Excellent attention to detail and quality control practices
